Editor’s Pick: Raf Simons x Fred Perry AW/13

Fred Perry continue their successful collaboration with designer, Raf Simons. In it’s fifth year, the AW/13 collection sees Simons pay homage to classic MOD styles plus favourites like the varsity jacket, checkerboard shirts & jackets, including some oversized pieces. The colour palette is bold with electric blues, bright reds, warm autumn hues and timeless black & white.

There is a clear respect between the identity and heritage of the iconic Fred Perry and the Belgium designer and although the collection is heavily influenced by classic Americana, the stamp of Fred Perry is as strong as ever. The collection has been in stores for a couple of months now and is proving to be yet another successful collaboration in a market saturated with joint ventures. This is a collection popular with British youth and trendy twenty-thirty somethings. That’s a big market.
