Merging Empires by Gino Ward
Almost everybody owns a camera, and many people call themselves photographers. Social media has opened up a world of wannabe’s who sadly, just aren’t particularly talented at taking good pictures, but their talent lies in self-promotion. So it’s always a huge pleasure to discover new photography talent, where we can identify directly with the artist within.
Photography student/graduate Gino Ward created this personal project as part of his final major piece for the London College of Fashion and we are happy to share part of it with you. “Merging Empires is an exploration of the feeling of nostalgia for an innocent, carefree and organic past; a lost connection with nature that was our origin.”
His research was based on human evolution and the importance of landscape. We have also included this series in the upcoming digital edition of Client Style #21. Fashion includes Yueqi Li and Ziyu Yi plus accessories from ASOS and Office.
