Heritage brand Aquascutum was founded in 1853 and continues to combine the qualities of fine craftsmanship with impeccable design and tailoring. To capture their Spring/Summer 2014 collection, head designers Thomas Harvey and Andre Hackett worked with brand communications agency Crave and Swedish photographer Andreas Sjodin.
Iconic male model Werner Schreyer (Select) returns for a second season with Aquascutum and he is joined by the beautiful Helena Greyhorse (Premier). For the Menswear collection we see an emphasis on the silhouette of the modern gentleman, combining Aquascutum’s classic tailoring with the luxe fabrics of outerwear, evening and casual wear – refining it with a rich contemporary style. The women’s collection features some iconic structured pieces, using a sorbet colour palette and combines the glamour and sophistication of British women. The collection is full of charisma, oozes luxury and acknowledges the evolution of womenswear.
Chief Operating Officer, Mark Taylor speaks of the brands direction in 2014 ‘It is a very exciting time for the brand. This year we will be really focussing on bringing the brand back to the UK market, across all channels. We are committed to elevating the brand image, and re-establishing our position within the luxury fashion market. Through innovation, creativity and commercial awareness, we will stay true to the brand’s core identity. The focus for future collections will be on the highest quality of craftsmanship and design, as well as developing a cohesive approach that incorporates design, the new retail environment, e-commerce and brand engagement. Our aim is to reignite the excitement and love for Aquascutum.”
